Soorarai pottru... I haven't yet watched a movie like this in India. Such a Motivating Story which educates and entertains equally with such a amassing concept. Thrill and emotions are just next level.... It can be our entry to oscars...
People are just showering love on Soorarai Pottro and the current IMDB rating is 9.0.
Soorarai Pottru - (Tamil translation in English is "Praise the brave") is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Sudha Kongara and acted /produced by the Megastar of south Suriya.

What a film guys... true inspiring, ignite the true passion to acheive greater heights but for the betterment of the common people and what acting by Surya... brilliant in many manners. This guys has a plethora of expressions under his belt - determined, sadness, charged, romantic , anger and what not... ..
This inspiring movie is partly inspired from the life of , "Simplify Deccan" airlines founder G. R. Gopinath. His madness to serve the people and change the luxury transportation i.e. airlines into a common man's commute is the inspirationbehind this story. Deccan India's first low cost airliens also opened door for a lot business opportunities within important states/ports.
Earlier the movie was suppose to release in April 2020, but due to the pandamic it has now got released on Amazon Prime Video. At the moment it is available only in Tamil, Telugu , kanada and malayalam languages....
For such a highly recommended movies, I would suggest you to still see it with English subtitles.
It is a clean movie that you can see with family and children. They will surely get entertained and inspired.

Plot - Nedumaa-ran is a former air force captain who wants to start an airline company that's affordable to all at a very low price. He is inspired greatly by PAresh who was common man like him but started an airlines "Jaz airlines" and became highly succesful.
Nedumaa-ran makes solid plans to start his dream airline business and with great difficulty manage to get an appointment with Paresh... but is grossly disappointed with his cunning means and vested interests.
As dreams are close to getting shattered, Nedumaa-ran get new energy from his ex-airforce friends, some like minded businessmen and some villagers to start "Deccan Air".
Guys the journey to this new begining / obstrcles and more importantly the way negativity in life is approached, handled and overcome is true inspiring.
A must watch for all , especially aspiring enterpreneurs. It take a great vision and courage to start something revolutionary. It is blend of purpose, planning and fine execution. A lesson which all should learn.

After seeing soorarai pootru, One thing I am certain now that like minded people surely attrract similar minds. In this movie there are 2 instances.
Nedumaa-ran get attracted to a girl Sundari (played by Aparna)that is independent and has similar courage to build something afresh. Sundari later become his wife.
Nedurmaaran when is discourages by PAresh is utimately supported by like minded progressive ex-airforce collegues , businessmen and even village people.

Further guys more than direction, the editing is very tight and thrilling.
Beginning, ending, pacing, dialogue, editing, cinematography, camera work, costume design etc.
No unnecessary songs , no unnecessary action sequence.
Suriya did not acted in this movie but literally has lived in this movie. His variations from a confident pilot at the airport, subtle romantic scenes with Aparna and determination to start the first low cost airlines is applaudable.
