Paranormal NETFLIX series REVIEW

Friends, I saw a brilliant series and thought that I must share my experience with you.... Paranormal on Netflix is a new series that will blow your mind and make you a fan. The story is based on the best selling thriller novel series with the same name by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik.

PARANORMAL NETFLIX SERIES REVIEW 

Guys, when you see a horror show then you are scared, when you see a thriller then you say , oh man what an amazing suspense till the end... And when you see a paranormal movie or series, then you start seeing everything behind the curtains.

What if all these feelings are combined in one show? Paranormal on Netlfix is true one such series which is perfectly directed, has a good production design and water tight screenplay. 

Paranormal is Netflix first Arabic production and looks like they have hit a home run with it. The current IMDB rating is staggering 8.8 and is being loved universally. It is available in Arabic and English language. Also has an option for Hindi subtitles. I am sure with the success of this series, it will dubbed in Hindi as well soon. 

Paranormal is a very Smart series which set up in 1960s in Egypt with a fine bled of ancient myths, suspense, thrill and a bit of horror. As you know, no expert has fully solved the mysteries of the Egyptian word like mummies, pyramids, super naturals activities etc. Etc. 

Makers for their first production for Netflix, exploited this whole mystique of Egypt and smoothly integrated it into the narrative itself. Season 1 has just 6 episodes of 1 hour each and I am sure you will see the entire bit in one go...

Further the storyline isnt as scary as a conjuring... Do paranormal is eree at placed and give goosebumps but that's about it... The whole mystery will take the center stage in your head and you will win over the scare immediately. 

Let's talk about the storyline in short without spoilers. 

Refaat Ismail, a 40 years old cynical hematology professor with a dark sense of humor. 

He believes that he grossly unlucky and the Murphy law applies to him the most. 

Since childhood he has been experiencing a ghost of a girl and some paranormal activities, which he tries best to ignore, as if it never happened or cannot happen Scientifically. 

Soon his world turned upside down, as his lifelong scientific convictions are questioned after he begins to experience some paranormal activities again. 

Along with his university colleague Maggie, they enter the world of paranormal and try to save their loved ones from the immense danger that surrounds them. A lot mystical events then happen involving to mummies / pyramids, giant apes, supernatural activities , all of which doctor Refaat has to handle.

I will not tell the story any further as it will lead to spoilers. 

What you will like in this series:

-Fine blend of Egyptian myths, legends and a bit of horror. They are smoothly integrated into the narrative.

-Acting of Ahmed Amin as Doctor Refaat has many layer and carries the entire series on his brave shoulders. 

Subtle wit of the main character Doctor Refaat keepa you engaged. He is a confident man when it comes to his profession / science , determined while solving horror mysteries but is shy / acts dumb when it comes to love as he is unable to express it in front of Maggie his college love interest.

-Production design is good too and minute detailing like of cigrette brand , signboard on street and continuity of the storyline setup in the 1960s is paid attention to.

Overall friends it is an adventurous ride and you will fall in love with the series and with Doctor Refaat.
