Sadak 2 review | sadak 2 movie review | Sanjay Dutt | Alia Bhatt | Disney Plus Hotstar | Movieshuvie

Sadak 2 has got released and people are bashing it left right and center... Yaar don't bash it like this...
Smile... I mean bash it with proper reasoning...
Let's discuss wheather the downfall of this film is an output of negative public emotions and outright rejection of the BHatt family or this film is actually bad.
How an iconic "sadak" of 90s became sadakchaap I..e sadak 2.

As a 90s kid, Sadak made a deep impact and there rose another angry young man Sanjay Dutt. Despite negativity and whatever bullshit ratings on IMDB and dislikes on youtube trailer, people still went ahead to take a glimpse of the second part called Sadak, which got released on disney plus hotstar.

So lets objectively about Sadak 2, keeping all sentiments aside.
We shall view the storyline quickly and then will see the technical aspects like direction, acting, music and screenplay.

Sadak 2 is starts from the point where sadak ended, so it is true sequel but with a different storyline.
So, Sanjay Dutt as a taxi driver Ravi who rescues his lady love Pooja Bhatt from clutches of the pimp Maharani. Sadak had some terrific performances, Nadeem Shravan's extraordinary music and pulsating action in the climax.
Sanjay 's climax dialog "nahi lagta" is still very fresh in the memories.
It is a perfect dose of entertainment and action.

Sadak part 2, picks up where Sadak left off.
Aarya Desai played by Alia Bhatt is on mission to expose fake Godman Gyan Prakash whom she also holds responsible for death of her mother. But Arya is captured and sent to asylum by her step mother Nandini and gang of Gyan Prakash from where she escapes.
In part 2 of sadak, Ravi played by Sanjay Dutt, runs a tours and travel business and gets hallucinations of his recently dead wife Pooja and ha suicide as he has no purpose in life after Pooja's death.

His life sees a spark when Arya comes to Ravi to hire his taxi. At first he ignores her but decides to help after he again gets hallucinations of Pooja, urging Ravi to help Arya and expose the fake Godman Gyan Prakash. Ravi now get a purpose in life.
Vishal is Arya's boyfriend and (played by Aditya Roy Kapoor) joins them.
So the story thereafter is predictable, I.e. Justice.

The movie missed the bus on several grounds...
But first talk about the saving grace. Yes, Sanjay Dutt is only watchable. Not only he looked his age, determined and disturbed occasionally but evoked a very strong emotion through is partially vet eyes remembering his beloved wife pooja.

Direction and screenplay Mr. Bhatt is more than poor. He can give all the gyan in this world to people but the truth is when it came to his own film it is was messed to the core. Felt like a documentary and not a film where characters couldn't evoke emotions. The entire film is straight line without any heartbeat and excitement. Screenplay is weak as vairous scenes looked stiched to make a motion picture. We doesn't relate to any character and loose interest mid way.

Acting is very casual. Looks like chalte firte bana di... Alia Bhatt who is concidered a good actress otherwise looked very raw.
I heard just a screaming person in every scene she appears but the purpose or pain behind it wasn't felt.
Aditya Roy Kapur hardly contributed or lifted a scene. He is wasting all the good opportunities coming his way.
Makarand Deshpande as villian according to me cannot achieve even ten percent of what the late Sadashiv did as merciless Maharani.

Music score, is absolutely dull and none of the songs stays with you. Actually I found the songs irritating.

Unfortunately, I am unable to find any bright side in the film, except some visuals of those long highway drives. To me, Sadak 2, has wasted all the good talent associated with the movie.

So, guys I filled you with all the rational reasons why this film fails, keeping all the emotions against Mr. Bhatt and family aside.
Hope this helps you have a more meaning conversation with your friends and family.

See you soon with another review very soon.
