Shahid 2013 hindi movie review

Shahid resolves around the life of Shahid Azim a lawyer and a human right activist, who himself was once accused of being a terrorist but later release by court unconditionally.

The character is played by Rajkumar Yadav and one must say that he has done a superb job. He mainly fight cases for people who have been arrested by police under TADA, mistaken to be terrorist due to their muslim name. The movie lends a good message that not every muslim is a terrorist and how a common man can stand for their rights.

The director Hansal Mehta has created an environment close to reality and nothing looks fake. Movie is not slow if you compare to other art movies.

Worth watching if you always look for strong storyline in movies. Skip, if serious cinema gives you a headache. Overall 4/5 stars.
