Lunchbox staring Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an over hyped movie. Looks like the makers decided to make big news without compelling content even before the release.
Over hyped here does not mean that the movie is bad. It has got some story with powerful performances.
Basically it is story about a man (Irfaan Khan) who is grieving since his wife death and a woman (Nirmat) who is trying to impress her husband through his stomach.
And not to forget the famous dabba wala who messed the delivery of the lunch box meant for the husband to Irfaan, lead to the start of paper letter exchange.
There will be1000s of questions in ones mind during the movie on behaviour, thinking of characters etc. Some of them are very weird like exchange of letters in today's mobile yug.
Anyways , we can give a benefit of doubt to these ficticious characters to behave strangely.
Lastly, the movie ends all of a sudden leaving people thinking. There can be 10 different ends that one can imagine. I think somewhere a director should complete his narration and not leave his baby (movie) to imagination. You may also call it creative but I think it is more of smart work by the director (WIP) in absense of a sensible end.
Overall, 2/5 stars. One time watch. Definitely not an Oscar material.
