Boss staring Akshay Kumar in lead releases on EID - 16 October 2013, a Wednesday to take advantage of the holiday.
The movie has opened well across India. Janta is liking it. Why? Simple answer is that the movie is entertaining even if it is remake of a south movie. Who wants to be tensed by seeing an intense movie in theater always... actually no one. Boss comes as rescue and relaxes you a bit with over the top comedy and action.
Critics might not like the film because its a mass entertainer. Stupid people these...
Actors have done a good job, music is super hit and has been promoted well by the producers. Ronit Roy is a surprise factor. You would love to hate him. For Akshay it is time to look good in movies with reasonable hair style and dressing, else only truck drivers gonna see his movies in future. On a different note, he is quite energetic.
There is no reason to dislike it. There would be many who will not go to the theater because they feel watching an Akshay Kumar movie is not cool. But trust me , it won't change the fate of the movie's business. It will still do decent at the BO. Surely not a 100 cr product.
