The film deals with a ghost seeking vengeance for being wronged and haunts everyone who is staying in the house.
Laxmii stars akshay kumar and Kiara advani.
Laxmii or Laxmmi Bomb movie has been limelight for various reason and was one of the most anticipated movie of this year 2020. There has been controversies like rhe name itself and the makers had to change it at the last minute to Laxmii from Laxmmi Bomb.
Also Akshay was in direct fire for not speaking for Shushant Singh Rajput. Many sensible people call this action by the audience outrageous.
Anyways, overall the movie shouldn't be evaluated purely on how good / bad it is made as the message it too bold and strong. I will leave you with some flavor without giving any spoilers so that you can enjoy the movie.
1. Overall movie is a blockbuster because apart from horror quotient and comedy it has a very strong message delivered in an emotional manner
2. Akshay Kumar is amazing but Sharad Kelkar is a surprise package and has delivered some mind-blowing performance. I will not tell anything further... Can't give spoilers.
3. As Laxmii is south remake of Kanchana, South flovour in the movie is evident. For example those fast paced scenes and suddenly appearing comedy scenes etc etc. It is not entirely bad because such light scenes make the horror quotient bearable.
Lastly...
It has social messages.
- Humanity is way above Hindu-Muslim issues. When Hindu parents disowned Laxmii, she was raised by a Muslim and was given a Hindu name. Humanism is religion agnostic.
- Family support for such special children like Transgenders is important to bring a change in the society for their equal right. They are human being just like others.
Movie end up mey ek thought key saath chodti hai... Jab admi paida hota hai to kehte hai shiv , aur jab aurat to Shakti. Aur jab koi Transgender paida hota hai to usse kehte hai ardhnareshwar, a god jisme dono hai.
Dosto, it is not important how good or bad this movie is made, what is important is that it raises an issue of well-being of transgender’s which is buried since the beginning of time, and thank God now movies on bold and important issues are being made.
